Updated News: Michigan Courts DOB Redaction Issue Continues

Michigan Courts DOB Redaction

Michigan’s State Court Administrative Office (SCAO) has reacted to the original Michigan Court Order for redaction of DOB, and prior to the recently amended Michigan Court Order ruling, which is slated to take effect on April 1, 2022.

As you may recall, the amended MI court ruling allows for a system to be put in place for DOB information to be made accessible. Due to county courts acting early on the original court order, clients may continue to experience issues with certain Michigan courts continuing to not disclose DOB information. This is specific to individual non-compliant courts in Michigan and therefore, Info Cubic may be at the mercy of the court. We anticipate this may continue to impact our clients by causing turn-around-times to be delayed for completing searches.

PBSA and other organizations continue to work with the SCAO, the courts, and the law to have this issue corrected promptly.  Any additional updates will be provided as the information is made available.
