DOT Grants Waiver on Certain Pre-Employment Testing Requirements
Posted: June 09, 2020
The Department of Transportation (DOT) announced that as of June 5, 2020, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has granted a three month waiver from certain pre-employment testing requirements applicable to employers of drivers that are subject to 49 CFR part 382 regulations.
There is no waiver on Random Drug and Alcohol testing completion since employers have all year to reach their numbers based on the agency they fall under. This waiver is only for pre-employment safety sensitive positions.
